Reciprocity is what we define as a reciprocal agreement between states to except their boating safety certification. For example, if you get your certification in California, reciprocity states that if you go to Florida that certification would be recognized.
Almost also states accept an out-of-state certification but it is always best to contact the state department of the state you will be boating to verify.
